Oh, carry me away sweet wind,
on wings of dawn's delight;
please, stir my spirit deep within,
faith, fill my soul for flight.
What greater hope can move men's hearts
than when grace clothes the day,
so one won't stumble when night falls
when evil stalks the way.
The only freedom I possess-
is love with all my might;
I waive all rights to apprehend
the truth, the way, the light.
I'll wear an awl in my heart's ear,
surrender all I own;
that I may hold the hand of God
to make His ways be known.

Author Notes
*I firmly believe true freedom is found in serving, not in being served. Not that I have achieved it yet, but in aspiration only!
I also believe the only right we possess is to love unconditionally. I guess we have a right to expect justice, but Jesus didn't, but it was His life for ours, the just dying for the unjust. If we demand our "rights", somebody else usually pays the price. Carry guns, smoke, take drugs, drink, etc. All these things can kill, either directly or indirectly. In the old testament one could wear an awl (a triangular shaped item that was worn in the ear as a sign that you willingly served a benevolent master) to either pay off a debt or just serve of your own free will. Pretty well the same choice to serve God In trust. Exodus 21:5-6. NIV.
