My life is like a breath of wind,
a vapour on the breeze;
like tiny drops held in a cloud,
then lost to stormy seas.
My life is like a flash not seen,
a fleeting glimpse of light;
a tiny glitch borne in time's frame,I
then veiled from memory's sight.
Yet God has written every word,
and managed every hour.
And though on Earth my footprint fades,
I move by God's great power.
To see those streets, all paved with gold
and walk eternal lands;
we'll enter into Heaven's courts,
where time no longer stands.
God rides on winds -- will come in clouds,
He writes Earth's final dance;
in triumph He'll invade time's frame,
time gone with just a glance
