fragrant magnolia fills the air with spring sweetness memories of home   Writing Prompt A 5-7-5 follows the structure of a Haiku. It has three lines. The first line has 5 syllables. The second line has 7 syllables. The third line has 5 syllables again. Write a poem about anything associated with spring: Flowers, animals, rain... 5-7-5 about spring. Contest Winner Recognized Author Notes mag-no-lia (mag-nol-ya) ... According to Merriam-Webster dictionary! I did look it up before using it. I do understand people pronounce words different, though. The magnificent scent of magnolia is so captivating to me and reminds me of the tree next to my bedroom window in the home we lived in when I was a teenager.
