I've watched you toil so many years
displayed a love enriched.
Knit throws and clothes with crocheted love,
and lives repaired; tears stitched.
You've nurtured, wept and given much,
your heart you've shared with all,
remained a friend throughout the years,
and caught them as they fall.
You've been my friend, my lover, wife,
you're always clothed with grace.
If God would call you home 'fore me,
could I those days embrace?
Our children just adore your ways
and what a mum you are.
They're just like you, they imitate
your light; their guiding star.
You've never wavered from God's path
your faith has been your light.
And one day when you see His face,
He'll say "you're my delight."

Author Notes
My dear wife has been my teacher, my love, the perfect partner in life.
She's compassionate, a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother.
In her role as a teacher of English to migrants & refugees, she has been an acting mother to young, frightened mums, many of whom have their mothers still living in their country of origin.
Their are so many accolades I could don her with. I'll leave you with just these few.
Proverbs 18:22 "He who finds a wife, finds what is good, and receives favour from the Lord."
