When it comes to awards, you know we will win more
Y'all tried to keep us out, but we kicked down the door
We've got talent by the boatload now everybody knows
Nobody can beat us at putting on shows.
Hashtag Oscars so white, now Y'all know that ain't right
But that's cool, that's okay, Y'all just sit tight
We goin' keep killing at the box office with hit after hit
While Y'all sorry movies win awards but fall into a money pit
You may not think our efforts are worthy of a nomination
The success that we enjoy means our enumeration
To those that don't know, that means we're getting paid.
We air our own award shows on our black owned stations
Our own prestigious awards from our own nominations
With killer sized ratings, I know Y'all must find that grating
It's a new day, there's a new way, and Y'all can't shut us out
I see you sitting over there, wearing that childish pout.
Mr. Hateful Man, you cannot buy us all out, and you cannot shut us all up
So before you drink the poisoned Kool Aid from that bitter cup
I suggest you have a Coke and a smile, and quit trying to throw shade
Cause there's no way we're gonna' let you bring rain to our parade.

First things first, I am not angry at anyone as I think our awards , the NAACP, BET Honors, etc. are prestigious enough and if we keep winning and acting and producing and making money, someone somewhere will get the idea and feel shame to a degree large enough to effect change. If not we are still making movies and money so what?
