of life-long betrayals
sprinkled with lusty adventure memories
of a time before lies became the truth
and my heart's blood splattered Saturn
cheating impact so severe to my psyche
play all the reruns
pictures clear as last night
can almost reach out and touch . . .
. . . that smooth firm skin
of youth's delight
what is the worth
of flesh versus virtue
does pleasure soften the pain
quantitative answer needed
how much
is too much
betrayal
how much 'youth's delight' is needed
to make the betrayal palatable
but, why consider lies
when the truth is so pure
no need to endure
anything less than the truth
makes you unworthy
of even my shadow
