Heroes you are, it shows on your face Incredible bravery distinct with grace Devoted soldiers, you gave your all Endured to the end you fought to forestall Orders obeyed, you completed the mission Unkind is war, the whole world should listen Symbolic of splendor, we give you recognition Recognized Author Notes When I came across this picture if brought tears to my eyes. Many thanks to all who served and continue to serve in the military and their families. This poem gives honor and recognition to all who suffered any kind of affliction while fighting to preserve freedom for all. Our leaders and politicians should take a good look at their faces and the many lives lost, tells it all. Don't be so quick to jump into conflict and war around the world, readily to send our loved ones without giving any consideration of sending yours. May God bless one and all.
