I wish that I could somehow go
to Mother Nature's studio.
To see her at her easel ply
those wondrous skills that make us sigh.
Her palette smeared with many hues,
huge gobs of yellows, reds, and blues.
An artist with her brush and paint,
she tints the trees with no restraint.
Some maples she will sketch in red,
while others violet instead.
Small leaves she'll dab in such a way,
Impressionist like Claude Monet.
With all those yellow aspens though,
her touch is bold just like Van Gogh.
Her canvases all fascinate;
her autumn landscapes captivate.
