Political Limerick writing prompt entry

there once was a South full of coloreds
enslaved by a bunch of white dullards
then old Abe passed a law
and some progress we saw
but now... nigga's the fav'rite word uttered

Writing Prompt
Limerick - a delightful form originated from Ireland. In honor of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day --

Limerick is a rhymed humorous or nonsense poem of five lines which originated in Limerick, Ireland.
The Limerick has an anapestic rhyme scheme of:
a-a-b-b-a with a syllable structure of: 9-9-6-6-9.

I asked a fellow poet Karen M. Miner some time ago for her rendition of this jolly form, and she graciously consented to share it with us. This Limerick by her is one of my favorites. Here it is:

Frozen, With Salt (limerick)

I wanted a deep Marguerita,
they told me that life would seem "sweetah".
Seems inebriated
is so overrated-
the bartender looks like a cheetah!

For this contest, write a Political Limerick. Plenty of room for creativity on this one, could be bawdy or not that bawdy.

Have fun!

Author Notes

I hope this is taken for the satire it is. I realize that the term, nigga', is not the same word that I find so abhorrent from my youth, the so-called "N" word. Intellectually, I get it.

But I still can't help cringe every time I hear the word nigga'. It sure sounds like the same word I would've knocked somebody out for using back in the day. What's next, "Power to the people" will be a reference to an increase in our electrical bill?

Are we moving forward politically regarding race relations or backwards? I hope my impression is wrong.
