He Left His wondrous throne for love
to walk the dust of earth,
exchanged His riches for a trough
revealed to us our worth.
Surrendered all He owned for me,
His special Christmas gift;
remember now the price He paid
to heal the sin-worn rift.
He did not own a sailing boat
Or beach house by the shore,
He rose each day to heal the sick,
To save both rich and poor.
For some said He's the Son of God
or just another man;
but I say He's my Saviour, Lord
who died my sin to ban.
He had no place to lay His head
nor own the clothes He wore,
relying on His Father's hand
His trust placed in faith's store.
How could I ever run from Him
or find another way,
He's captured every part of me
my soul, my heart, my day.
