~ My Solemn Oath ~
By Dean Kuch
Faint ghosts adorn thy pillow top,
they catch my gaze, mine heart doth drop;
detached soft strands of silken hair ,
all that remains, as thou aren't there —
I beg thee, bid this pain to stop.
Devoted wife, with each teardrop
shed high from lofty mountain's top,
with broken heart, this pledge I swear,
my solemn oath to thee...
Undying love shall never stop,
as spring rains breathe fresh autumn's crop.
I pray one day to find thee where
warm endless summers whisper there —
my solemn oath to thee...
