My Identity: by: HIS GRAYNESS
I have noticed quite recently
That I've become somehow
A bit distant from thee
We used to shake hands
And share strolls through the mall
But now I'm just someone
You occasionally call
My son's on my speed dial
We talk or we text
I don't really know
When we might see
Each other next
The keyboard is king
In this world now today
We have lots of time
To plan what we say
The hugs and the touching
Reach the keys or the screen
And it all up to you
To just guess what they mean
High tech and high touch
Are now opposite spaces
Where love once resided
Ones and zeros replaces
