Crawford, Robert's eldest son,
and family arrive soon.
It will be long after noon.
I dread this visit
as he and I have never seen
eye to eye.
Of course faults on both sides.
Bombs and fireworks throwing:)
He and Robert are a lot alike
Crawford is so terribly English,
Robert Scottish and continental.
It's been at least 17 years
we have not seen them.
We might not even recognise them,
and with my voice a whisper
they might not be able to communicate.
I'd jump mid-air or the highest fence
if it has passed without problems.
