I struggle to take a breath
as I lie here near death.
But, I feel no fear,
because I know my Savior is near.
I hear His gentle voice,
"My son you have a choice.
You can just give in
or fight to live again.
I am not ready for you.
You still have much to do.
Your faith in Me is very strong
and I will protect you from any evil wrong.
Now, my son, go back to the living
keep your loving and generous giving
and always go that extra mile
to help people to feel good and to also smile."

On August 29th, I was rushed to the ER close to a diabetic coma. My sugar level had risen to 500 points and my blood pressure was 240/140. They also discovered that I had a hybrid staph infection in my blood. The ER Doctor worked hard to stabilize me. I was admitted and put in an isolation room. That night while my fever reached 105, I had this vision of Christ and heard his words. At 5:30 am Saturday morning, my fever broke and I responded to my nurses with a smile and a thank you. Either the nurse or the nurses assistant was at my side during this crucial time. I thanked my Savior for his healing and for the nurses who watched over me,,,,,,,,Jim
