haiku (colorless summer)
                                                             by michael cahill

colorless summer
nature's course foreshadowed
in earth's mirrored moon

Writing Prompt
Many haiku are written with the 'line of insight' or Satori, as it's called, coming at the beginning of the poem. Write a traditional nature haiku in 17 syllables OR LESS, putting the Satori in the first line. SEE EXAMPLES FOR HELP.

Author Notes
The future of earth... to be a mirrored, lifeless image of the moon? Perhaps not present tense, but maybe it is if that is the course we are on that cannot be altered.
