She sat there for hours, a wish in her heart- for wishes take time to come true. And she was determined with all of her will to not disappoint him anew. This boy with a heart that was broken no longer could trust or believe. His precious sweet voice had been silenced by parents who knew to deceive. He asked but one favor since they went away; he just wanted them to return. He asked for a rainbow to shine in the sky to make up for that which he yearned. And his aunt who adored him just sat there. She stayed and she watched every cloud. She prayed for a rainbow to soothe a boy's heart. She prayed and she begged Him aloud. Now the sun had been shining for twenty-two days; the odds of a shower were nil. But Rylan heard thunder and rolled to the door. His aunt lifted window from sill. Warm rain made a sound like a cello. The drops were of wondrous belief. The rainbow came gently and brightened the sky. Soon everyone felt deep relief. So she sat there and whispered her thank you to God who had eyes that would see.
