Rules? Show Me the Money! by michaelcahill
A Quatrain Poem About Site Rules Contest Winner

Shall I pick the poem that defeats me now?
What if one vote is the final difference?
I will vote for a loser and comment, "wow"
(it was peachy good will be my inference)

And now these rules are causing eyes to cross
I need a stratagem to pass them by
To win the goal for me-avoiding loss
enrichment with sweet dollars, I'll be sly

Free verse, lost love, the rules are calling for
give me a break that won't get any votes
I'll rhyme it till their brains bounce off the floor
Now the perfect topic, to float their boats

puppies work, soldiers too, precious babes ooo
I need something strong that is sure to jell
I will call on the Lord, that's what I'll do
If you vote against me, you'll go to hell!

Money Talks
Winning rocks
Uh oh. Rhyming quatrains required!
All meaning's expired…

Writing Prompt
Write a quatrain poem about your dislikes concerning the compliance of site rules when entering site sponsored daily writing prompts and how the voters occasionally choose a winning entry that does not meet the required rules. Your poem must rhyme and the rhyme scheme is entirely up to you.

Author Notes
More for fun than anything. Just some points. The key is participation. If there were more participation there would be less problems. Everyone should vote. That eliminates occasional strange results. When the winner gets four or five votes anything can happen. There aren't fluke wins when the winner receives a dozen votes. No offence intended by any of this.
