The fairy sat upon the tree,
and called out, "Children, come to me,
For Santa's sent me here today
now you must hear the words I say."
The children sat there on the ground
and watched the fairy flying round.
Then she stood there, oh so small
and said that Santa loved them all.
"But he's been sad for quite a while,
And only you can make him smile."
The children cried, "What can we do?
How can we stop him feeling blue?"
"On Christmas Eve you go to bed,
with dreams of presents in your head.
But do you know what it's about?
Santa has asked me to find out."
A little girl stood up and smiled.
"Mary and Joseph had a child!"
"So it's His Birthday," said a boy.
"And then three kings brought him a toy!"
Another girl stood up and said,
"He had a manger for His bed.
He's Jesus! He's our friend as well!"
As everyone was keen to tell.
The happy little fairy smiled,
And went and kissed each joyful child.
"When I tell Santa, he'll be so glad,
And we'll be happy he's not sad!"

Thank you so much for allowing me to use this stunning picture, Deloralock, from FanArtReview! Sometimes we have to make sure the true meaning of Christmas comes through to children. It is not only a time for presents.
