The True Gift by justjo66
Haiku Poetry Contest contest entry

He picked a wild thistle
A wild purple flower's glory
The true gift was himself.

Author Notes
My sweet husband in his childish ways picked this beautiful flower from our pasture. He brought it in to give to me as a gift. I would rather have it than dozens of roses. His thinking of me when he saw something beautiful inspired me to write the above poem. Of course, I had to take a picture of it.
