Green translucent grapes
On a pure white Wedgwood plate
Sauvignon vintage
|
Author Notes
The beauty of green grapes on a white dinner plate. It's from these green grapes that they make the famous white wine, called Savignon Blanc. 'Vintage' refers to the grape harvest. Wedgwood tableware of pure white bone china is the finest in the world. In other words, fine grapes on fine tableware leading to a fine wine. This haiku speaks of art, elegance and good taste. There is a contrast between 'nature' in the first line and 'art and craftsmanship' in the second line. 'Sauvignon vintage' or 'Sauvignon blanc wine' is what you're longing for when you visualize this.
