Author Notes
I will be attending the funeral of a man I knew through the volunteer community today. He was active in ministering to the needs of the poor as his wife still is. I will be attending the funeral to support Gail - Scotty won't be there in that box. He has already left us to reap the rewards of a life lived well.
The septolet is a poem of fourteen words in seven lines, divided into two verses. The second verse completes the picture, often in a surprising or ironic way.
