When sun's first rays on spider webs glisten,
meadowlarks' songs signal morning's arrived.
Porch wind chimes whisper, and as we listen,
we hear all creation coming alive.
As fairies awake to daybreak's splendor,
their filigreed wings begin to unfold,
till dawn's touch upon their wings so tender
increases their beauty at least tenfold.
Very few beings in God's dominion
derive so much beauty from dawn's first light.
Indeed, there are those who voice the opinion
fairies are daybreak's most beautiful sight.
Fairy wings sparkling beneath shimm'ring rays
blossom like rosebuds' enchanted bouquets.
