Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
The gift we give each other

We Are One

Bright morning stars shine through my windowpane.
White contrails stream across the cobalt sky
contrasting old world atmosphere with new --
your bold blue eyes like heaven, mystify.

I turn to see your face as you awake.
Your smile is brighter than the stars that shine.
Our lives have joined together into one --
with love our centerpiece --- we intertwine.

And as I contemplate what happens next --
your gentle touch ignites my very soul.
You take me in your arms and rock my world.
This gift we give each other -- makes us whole.
