Career Choice

by Bucketlist

My memory album has several pages
Of my paid jobs in different ages
My views of life from jobs I've had
That I would rank as good or bad

The first was as a Saturday girl
Each week 3 hours in a total whirl

For picking winners for ' Spot the Ball'
Where first prize took the $ prize pool (poor)

Then came bank teller, counting
other people's money mounting ( good)

Waitress, that was second from top
Met all kinds of people and ran the shop (better)

Bottom rank was hospital cleaner
Some sick people got verbally meaner

Now people are branded by jobs they do
People leave dirty messes for you
Just because they don't empathize
Selfishly turning away their 'blind' eyes

Then I went back to a local college
To gain my 'how to teach' knowledge

So
My career
Started from there
Helping children with disabilities
Master possibilities
In small steps
With help from
Me

These
Kids learned
In sensory ways
Teaching to the average
Hampered their days
Special lessons
Their esteem
Raised
