Giving up belongings is hard

Belongings

Now play the part that's in your act
The purring cat's across your lap
Does she reflect your current state?
Or, does she talk of other fates?

You keep returning all you own
But, soon enough, it's right back home
You travel far on airy wings
But soon desire your token things

How many times will you forsake
This restless journey you must make?
Those same belongings that you crave
Will not be taken to your grave
