Just a note:
I witnessed a majestic stag running/leaping across a farmer's field and summarily impaling himself on the barbed wire fence surrounding said farmer's land.
The artwork is to give the reader a sense of the majesty and beauty of the stag; it does not show him being impaled; that would be too gruesome. There are many photographs on the internet of deer impaled on barbed wire fences or wrought iron fences; they are far too gruesome for me to post here. The memory of what I saw will never leave my memory... diane kenel-truelove 3/20/2018
