With Spring Showers

Chickadees frolicking in backyard
Pecking at patches missing flowers
Earth will awaken and rejoice
March winds usher in April showers

Temperatures already starting to rise
Heralding days filled with joyful noise
March winds usher in April showers
Earth will awaken and rejoice

Grandsons coming over to play
Making mud and building towers
Earth will awaken and rejoice
March winds usher in April showers

Muddy footprints trailing hallway
Proving always - boys will be boys
March winds usher in April showers
Earth will awaken and rejoice
