I had never heard of this day,
until it was mentioned on tele and radio.
After I googled several ways.
I was ready to get up and go.

It was an omission in my education,
that I never knew about this event
as a younger fixation.
We did not need a letter of content.

But I now know it is a day to celebrate
all progress women made
when they made the world great,
by coming out of the shade.
