Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
After one of my eye surgeries.

Hello Face, Hello

by amada

Hello face, hello...
I haven't seen for a while
Eyes in bandages
Cohabitating with blindness--

Today, dressings free, tentatively
I seize a glimpse of your outline--
Oval, soft, warm
like a wave in sweet repose.

I search for a fling of my nose's round tip
Or my quivering questioning lips
On the puzzle of your muffled ears...
Nothing there...

But a chunk of  dark hair waves at your side--
A sweet warning of still
A fiery love for life.

Such a wobbly sweet ghost
Who is supposed to be my host.
