Similes and Metaphors

SIMILES AND METAPHORS

I love grabbing metaphors, floating in the air
They're butterflies without a cause, without really any care

A metaphor is what it is, it's like a literal analogy
Now I'd be really quite remiss in using this tautology

I like to write in rhyme, just writing from the heart
Just hope it's not a crime, to open up from the start

Coz poetry is how you perceive it, there's really no rules applied
It's really how you want to believe it, no explanation supplied!

I never write in metaphors, well not really very often
I don't really have just cause, I'm not a poetic boffin

The impact that my layman poems have on all my friends
Pull on everyone's heartstrings, hope this feeling never ends!
