The sphinx in the picture was brought from the Orient. I acquired it when I lived in Vegas from 2007 to 2009. When I was returning to New York, I gave it to my friends for safekeeping. They kept it for me for 7 years! And now, finally, it is coming back to me. The black cat next to the sphinx is my friend's cat. Cats are considered sacred animals in Egypt. Those two look so magically touching together - two creatures of the Orient.
