WARNING RE: AMAZON POLICIES

Hello, friends,
I thought you might be interested to know a few of Amazon's policies in case you are considering publishing with them.
Some of you might be aware of the outrageous over-pricing of my two books of short stories (over $100 each) and subsequent withdrawal of their distribution. (They were priced like that for nearly a year before I discovered it and yanked them off the shelves. I had priced them at $6.99 each.) I wonder how many potential readers I lost...may still be losing, since one of the two books is now selling for $49.26.
Well, months later, and several emails and telephone calls later, one book is still listed through a third party seller for $49.26. I was on a conference call with BOTH Amazon and Createspace today, and all just more time wasted. They have no control, they say, over what third party sellers set as the price -- they compared it to 'buying and re-selling a car'. They also will not give out any information as to who may or may not have purchased a copy of your book.
The ONLY tip I was given was that perhaps if I contacted the third party seller, I could ask why they had decided to charge what they were charging for my book. I asked also if there was any way to leave a comment with the Amazon book listing to warn folks -- no. (So buy a copy of any book and you are able to re-sell at any price on Amazon.)
You might be interested to read my question to the third party seller of LOVE FOREVER - the first one, not the new one I will soon bring out... (the only way to contact them was by clicking on their information beside my book). Their reply first (my question is below it):

For some out-of-print or otherwise hard to find or desirable books, this can result in the current listing price being higher than the original retail price of the book when it was first released. In such cases, we usually have the best price available anywhere on the internet.
