Beyond Measure

Each mountainside was yours to conquer
Blizzards? Better to build snow forts
In the summer’s soft moonlight,
You danced with the fireflies 
  And chased lively frogs
 In grandma’s pond
Your childhood:
Such joy,
Son
In
The days
To come, if
Life's challenges
Fill you with dark doubts,
Know that you have always
Been graced with a loving heart
 And strong inner voice that echoes:
"Each mountainside is mine to conquer"
