Too tired for Housework

Too tired now for housework,
just done a big Gym workout.
Squats and lunges, tricep dips,
then leg raises, for my hips.

Sweat poured down from my brow;
when I heard the girl say, "now
please get down upon the floor
hold it tight, suck in your core".

" Next we'll push up, one, two, three,
come on ladies, stay with me".
Crunches now, keep elbows back
abdo muscles won't be slack.

Up we jumped, too then lift weights
before, we all picked up plates.
Biceps curls and shoulder work
Overhead, for clean and jerk.

But by now I'd had enough,
to tell the truth--I was stuffed.
My enthusiasm done
out the door, I near did run.

Yet the class I did complete,
even though I felt the heat.
So back home now for a rest
to re-cuperate my zest.

Still the housework lies in wait;
I'm too tired to update.
So I'll sit and write instead
Then, I might sneak back to bed.

Another workout . All good but it is tempting to avoid the housework Ha Ha.
