How long has it been, since you listened to the silence?
Is your life so busy and noisy, that you cannot hear it?
But how do you listen to the silence you ask?
Step away from your life, go on, get away.

Go up to the mountain top, or to the highest hill.
Walk to the middle of the woods, or down a winding trail.
Listen to the wind, the swaying of the trees.
Hear the trickle of water from a nearby stream.

Is that the ringing of a church bell far away?
Or, was that a whisper from our dear Lord.
I must listen to the silence,
There may be a message I need to hear.
