Nature's Valuable Lesson!
Deer Park - Fall, 2017
by moonsunrise
Water streams down the river as I sit on the porch in Lincoln, New Hampshire contemplating life's meaning. I sit, with pen in hand, while inhaling the crisp fall air and feeling the gentle zephyrs brush across my hair. Sipping on my cup of pumpkin spice coffee, I am reminded of the many blessings I have acquired during my lifetime - freedom, health and a loving family and close friends.
I, like the falling leaves, have journeyed gently through time.
I reflect on God's great beauty as my eyes behold the crimson colored leaves on the trees while I remain still and admire the stillness and strength of the majestic oaks. My senses are awakened by the fresh clean scent of the pine trees. The chilly air awakens my spirit as I savor this very sacred moment. I am thankful as I enjoy the sound and smell of the crackling fire burning inside.
I, like majestic oak and pine trees, have journeyed gently through time.
Black-capped chickadees are among the birds chirping in the background as the rain begins to softly fall on the newly fallen leaves. Little chipmunks scurry pass me, their tiny feet hurrying past the rocks leading to the stream where they will quench their thirst. I so enjoy hearing the loons in the distance as I thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed on me and my family over the years. Though some times have been tough, I have only become stronger, more knowledgeable and accepting and past memories are overshadowed with more positive heart filled memories. My faith has grown even stronger.
I, like the black-capped chickadees, have journeyed gently through time.

Nature is God's way of connecting with His Children!
I love being surrounded by nature. I can hear myself think, I can feel, I can remain in the present. I can live and enjoy the moment.
