Milking a cow was a twice daily routine

How's Now? Brown Cow

by Brigitte Elko

How's Now,? Brown Cow

Are your udders filled to the brim

Ready to satisfy the baby's whim

Give up your utter delight

Don't squirm or try to fight.

So, how's now? hands ready and primed

Stroking your glands with "utter" might.

Brown cow, you are loved so dear,

Give up that milk to make baby cheer.

Back in the olden days, we milked and consumed. Maybe, it wasn't a healthy routine, but we are still here. The fresh milk was warm and not all that tasty but that was all we had.
