My not so classic lasagna
My Three Meat Lasagna
My three meat lasagna may warm your heart
now listen carefully as I prepare to start
three meats Italian sausage and ground beef
beef hotlinks not too spicy what a relief
Grate american mozzarella and some delectable cheddar cheese
add some ricotta get ready for some deliciousness aimed to please
combine the cheeses and add three eggs to the mixture
thinking about it puts a smile on your face a lasting fixture
The sauce is made with red garden tomatoes garlic and herbs
the taste so rich, stewed tomatoes so citrusy sweet and superb
I add some nice Jalepeno peppers chopped and diced so fine
In between stirring and tasting I take a sip of some red wine
In a big pot I have my noodles boiling, salted with some oil
no sticking noodles to the pot because that would be a spoil
I've chopped some peppers green and red and some garlic
red and yellow onions too, stirring the sauce so nice and thick
There are two special ingredients a cream and a spice
it changes the flavor that is ever so sweet and nice
Its a family secret that I promise I can not disclose
for sure my grandma would kill me God knows
The oven is set at three hundred fifty degrees
on the kitchen counter a bowl of basil leaves
I take my noodles and start to layer the pan
layering so precisely and meticulous as I can
Noodles and sauce and cheese in that order
fill it up the whole pan be careful of the border
lastly sprinkle your three cheeses on the top
place it in the oven strategically not to drop
After it is baked and the lasagna is done
now it's time to have a blast some fun
those basil leaves are placed as garnish
delightfully pleasing and never tarnished
the taste so scrumptious to my palate
along side of this dish a garden salad
a hot slice of french or garlic bread
now lets eat enough has been said
