you can sit and
ponder all your fears
go walk along nature's path
learn from cardinals, chickadees
goldfinches who never question God

the world sees the dandelion
as a weed while God views her
as an exquisite flower created
by His hands

so why see yourself
in so low a light
when you can rise
up, use your gifts

talk to the lonely
feed the homeless
help a neighbor
or do whatever He
calls you to do

faith in action
makes us alive

see the dandelion
in all her beauty
see yourself in
heavenly light
