The Doll

by Rasmine

I held the doll tightly to my chest.  It was so adorable, and had the friendliest face.  I looked up at Grandma.

“Thank you, Grandma.”  I ran to her and holding the doll, hugged her the best I could.

“You’re welcome, sweetie.  I hope you like her.  She was mine when I was a little girl.”

The doll came with me everywhere that I went.  Then one day all of that changed.

I went to bed one night, with Chrissy, that is the doll’s name.  During the night, something odd happened.  I looked over at Chrissy and she had the cruelest look on her face.  I ended up throwing her across the floor.

In the morning, I picked up Chrissy, to note the friendly face, again.  I took her with me to school.

That night I slept soundly.  In the morning, I went to find Chrissy, but she was missing.  I never saw her again, but I did find a bloody place where she was put when I slept.
