Visually challenged live on a glimmer of hope

Never Say Never

by afraazsidhu

Breathtaking mountains,
Spectacular woods,
Look at that corner,
to get a lifetime's look!

Pay there a glance,
For getting joy and gay,
Beware! Don't get lost in a trance,
For there arrives the picturesque scenario of May!

But .... But like a tree did I remain still,
As the air had frozen
As the soft dance of clouds had stopped
As the people had gone into a deep sleep
As the world came to a standstill around me!
All I could see was a world of darkness,
a world only composed of a mist of blackness,
a world of nothingness!

All I could hear were soft hues,
amidst my world of blues,
as my unanswered prayers,
were the only things to share,
in a world without sight!

"Haha! that poor fellow!"
came from one side,
for my sight stopped to mellow!
"That mere piece of waste" was the only thing left

to welcome the king of melancholy in a haste!

Can't you make this melancholy go?
Can't you make my eyesight glow?
Can't you make this cloud rain?
Can't you allow the journey of the marvellous train?
I ask everyday
But a die heart wish to explore,
But a die heart wish to become something
still remains a dream -to -come true someday!

Twenty long years... have come to end,
waiting to pay a congrats and something to lend,
For I won the Nobel Prize For Literature and writing's my trend!
Defeating this sight was a mountain of difficulties,
which let me see the extraordinary power,
to see a goodness in everyone,
to see an everlasting dream which now lays at my feet!

I confess that I can't see,
I confess that I can't enjoy this world,
But I must confess too that life is a time to rejuvenate for me!!

Can you write a poem that cheers lonely hearts, soothes tired brains, inspires the soul. Any style, any length.

The suffering and despair of a visually challenged person is immense. But, equally immense is their hope and determination. My poem dwells on their indomitable spirit.
