A Cacaphony

Rising Fear

by Chrissy710

Pitter patter rain is falling,
Gently on my roof top sounding.
Boom, Crash, thunder loudly rolling,
'Cross the skyline lightning streaking.

Storms approaching quickly mounting,
Just how close I'm second counting.
Pounding heart is wildly beating
Hoping, praying storm is fleeting

Closing blinds and curtains quickly
Rising fear of storms within me
Grumbly growling lightning striking,
Fingers in my ears now blocking.
