What is Love?

by Dolly'sPoems

What is Love?

Love is a silent friend, exciting in its blend;
Glowing in its grace when in a warm embrace.
Turning a blind eye to tears shed in a cry,
As passion numbs the trace of any saddened face.

When rain begins to fall only memories recall;
Love can sigh, love can die, love can be so strong;
Can't begin to measure our love's eternal treasure,
Or how sweet its song or if it will last long.

Love is bold, can be cold and be worth a pot of gold,
Can humiliate, accumulate or even compensate.
It could be your downfall, to never love at all,
To never know your fate, if a chance you did not take.

You won't see love bite, only feel the light,
As it burns inside, as it worms and churns;
Uprooting all you know as it starts to grow,
The heart begins to yearn as it will never learn.
