The Royal Ontario Museum, for example, covers most of a 1914, block building with enormous "crystals" of glass that rise 5 stories, yet are removable. Several new constructions incorporate single-story, classical structures as the first floor of their skyscrapers. The opposite of seamless! Scenes like the one in the photograph can be viewed all over downtown Toronto, where a condominium boom has been going on for a decade as well.
