An Ampeletum - in reply...

A Farkin' Crow

by tfawcus

The author has placed a warning on this post for violence.
Oh, fark! I should have ducked!
Once more, the Jester strikes!
Her Ampeletum's great...
I've never heard the likes!

A farkin' crow - oh, yikes!
Extend an ear and hark...
What savage bird is that?
A vicious crow! Oh, fark!

I'll never hear a crow
In the same way again
Ouch! Bleeding like van Gogh,
My ear's awash with pain!

Oh, fark! I should have ducked,
The bastard's squashed my hat!
Now where's my twelve bore gun?
I'll fark him... Tit for tat!

Recognized

In response to closetpoetjester's recent Ampeletum, "Branching".

I've had several queries about the Ampeletum, and so have now added this note for those who are interested. It is a form consisting of four quatrains created by a former fanstorian, Jejo. Each line consists of 6 syllables, with no required meter. The rhyme scheme is Abcb bded fgcg Aehe. The capital A means that this first line of the poem is repeated as the first line of the final stanza. Also note that lines B,C and E have rhyming sounds that are repeated in later stanzas.
