A Love That Can Never Be

My heart is as sad as it can be,
my spirit is troubled and longs to be free,
for the one that I love will never love me,
and I mourn for a love that can never be.
The tears in my eyes, the pain in my soul,
explain that without him I'll never be whole.
For the one that I love will never love me,
and I mourn for a love that can never be.
My thoughts are with him always as long as I live,
my body and soul to him I would give.
Still the one that I love will never love me,
and I mourn for a love that can never be.

We all handle situations differently, some good, some bad. This contest gives us the ability to explore this.
