My Superman

by DragonSkulls

Repetition Poem Contest Winner
He dreamt of being Superman
when he was just a little boy.
He'd save the world from evil men,
protect the earth that they'd destroy.

He swore alliance, brave and strong.
He dreamt of being Superman.
He'd teach each villain right from wrong
and nothing veered him from his plan.

The years passed by and he grew up
and saw what lies on distant shores.
He dreamt of being Superman
and volunteered to fight their wars.

And even though our own boy fell,
there's nothing I'm more prouder than.
He's now the hero he believed...
Soar high, my precious Superman.

Not a bio, just a contest entry. It came real close to being a bio though. Too close.
