Foolish they said. A little girl with dreams. Shangri La. A land soaked in love, fanatic with freedom, haughty with hope and fixed firmly in faith. A rainbow amalgam of diversity welcoming all where all were welcome. I embroidered my innocent dreams and hung them on the wall and believed.

wisdom is innocent
knowledge is old
and doesn't smile

Dragons and wizards invaded one day and an army of geese came to play. The clouds took the meadows away and life became toil, and trouble was here to stay ...  my dreams, my dreams, my dreams turned dark unseen. My back I turned and here I remain. I stand peering into the beyond forever searching for rescue ... yearning to be free.

Ideals can be writ
with conviction
