Can't Stop Death

by Luna Darkwaters

Why do we bother with love
It's not like it can stop death
I get sick as I look around me
And see all these stupid couples around me

They are so lost in their emotions that they don't see into their true futures
The same future that every single living, breathing beings do
Buried six feet under or a worthless pile of ashes
Being feasted on by worms or in a decorative mantel piece

Romance is nothing but a useless item of ourselves
Like our Appendix
It's why I don't care how I live my life
And I live my life caring for no one

I do feel great being alive
Just not enough to entertain thoughts as delusional as these fools
