A chapter in the book World As I See It 7

by Barb Hensongispsaca

John felt that he was bullied for
the most part of his life.
He could not breathe, his life was ruled
by hurt brought on by strife.

Fred lost his house, his car, his job,
his children and his wife.
He felt that no one really cared
if now he lost his life.

When Marcus could not join the war
as all his kin had done,
he saw the way to end regret
was through his new bought gun.

Since Marsha felt that she was trapped
in hell's room, dungeon deep,
she thought of only one way out
from marriage to her creep.

So traumatized upon return
from war's blood thirsty door,
John lived his terror every day
as bombs brought nightmare's gore.

Sam's father died that he might live-
survivor's guilt was paved.
His sister said it should be him
a-lying in that grave.

It does not matter what excuse
we need to see the signs,
we need to let them know we care-
just read between the lines.
